A free shuttle will be provided from the following parkades. Chemeketa, Marion and Pringle. The shuttle runs every half hour from these locations 9am to 4pm Thursday February 15th - 17th 2024. Pick up signs will be located on the street level of the parkades.

When you’re traveling to Salem, OR from out of town for a conference, you may be asking yourself what transportation options are available to you in order to reach the Salem Convention Center. Fortunately, Salem offers several options for travelers and locals alike looking to get around town. Here are some transportation options we recommend.


Depending on the length of your stay, you may want to consider renting a car. There are several car rental options around Salem such as Enterprise and Hertz to give you a choice of provider, vehicle, and price. If you need help finding parking for your SCC event, please consider the following options: • Salem Convention Center – Limited Underground Parking Enter from Liberty Street • Liberty Parkade – Complimentary Parking 199 Liberty Street SE (on the North side of Ferry St.) Enter from Ferry Street • Pringle Parkade – Complimentary Roof Top Parking 325 High Steet SE (Southeast of the Convention Center) Enter from High or Liberty Streets • Chemeketa Parkade – Complimentary Parking 300 Chemeketa Street NE (3 blocks North on Commercial) Enter off Commercial Street just south of Chemeketa Street


Cherriots – Salem Keizer Transit offers bus routes throughout Salem at the low price of $1.60 one-way or $3.25 for a day trip. It stops right by Salem Convention Center and travels throughout the city, meaning you can always get where you need to go. Their web site makes it incredible easy to plan your trip, so don’t feel overwhelmed if you initially don’t know where the closest bus stop is.


Since ride share services like Uber and Lyft do not currently serve the Salem, Oregon area, travelers have benefited from the services of Taxi companies operating in Salem, such as Taxi Salem Oregon. “I have tried 3 other cab companies in Salem and we love Yellow Cab! Thank you for being so timely and efficient,” says this enthusiastic Yelp Reviewer. The staff at The Salem Convention Center, the Grand Hotel Salem and Bentley’s Grill will be happy to help you get a taxi to wherever you’re going. Since we are located in the heart of Downtown Salem, you may also try your luck the “old fashioned way”- simply hailing a taxi in the street.

Shuttle and Limousine Service

There are also several Shuttle and Limousine Service Providers to get you around town and provide service to and from PDX and Salem Municipal Airport. Several of our guests have been pleased with their experience with HUT – Airport Shuttle “A quick, convenient and affordable way to get to PDX..when I need to get back to airport, the Hut Shuttle is my go-to means of transportation.” Other companies providing service include Raz Transportation, Blue Star Bus, Valley Shuttle, Island Coach Services and several more. Our Downtown location puts us in close proximity to many local hotels, shops, restaurants and local attractions. The Grand Hotel Salem, for instance, is adjacent to The Salem Convention Center and accessible without even leaving the building!
